Faridabad is located at 28.4 latitude and 77.3 longitudes. The city has an approximate elevation of 649ft. Located on Yamuna River plains, it relies in ground water which is a great gift due to good season of monsoon. Close proximity to Yamuna makes its sustainable to generate natural resources.

Its climate is classified as tropical steppe and hot semi-arid due to air dryness apart from  monsoon season. During 3 months of monsoon from June last week to September, oceanic moist air penetrates the district causing huge humidity, monsoon rainfall and cloudiness. Post monsoon ranges from October to December. Besides, winter season prevails from Jan to starting of March.

Annually rainfall is around 542mm that continues over 27 days. 85% of rainfall annually is a contribution of south west monsoon that enter in June last week and escapes at September end.  Wettest months with 15% of annual rainfall are July and August.
